The Tattoo Academy is an excellent place for people interested in tattooing. It's a place where those motivated to succeed in the art will be educated, from the history behind tattoos to being sterile while working with people. While in class, I learned all aspects of the tattoo. The course offers history, depiction, classification, equipment knowledge, the cross-contamination process and sterilization. Oh yeah, and how to tattoo, of course! I gained a huge respect for the importance of being clean while working on someone through the Academy, and how to go about doing a tattoo the proper way.  ~ Andrew Beath

I enrolled in the summer course of 2007 with the Tattoo Academy. The three-week, full-day course was in-depth and covered all the basics. Mark is an excellent instructor; he is well educated in the art of tattooing and as a teacher. His portfolio speaks for itself -- the tatoos he has done are prestine. I found the course extremely educational (information, lessons and practical experience).  Mark is a hands on instructor and the passion for his work is evident. The atmosphere at The Tattoo Academy is fun and relaxing. There is also a working shop there which gives a student better insight on how the studies are related to the day to day operations. I can not say enough good things about the Tattoo Academy and their staff (Mark, Jodee and Mitch).
